SMS Texting Terms and Conditions

Healthy Louisiana Enrollment Paperless Notifications

628 N. 4th Street Baton Rouge, LA 70802

By entering your cell phone number and checking the terms and conditions box on the Household Contact Preferences page:

You are telling Healthy Louisiana that you are the wireless service plan subscriber or authorized user of the cell phone number you entered to get text messages or that the plan subscriber or authorized user of the cell phone number gave you permission to enroll that number.

You agree to tell Healthy Louisiana if your cell phone number changes.

You give Healthy Louisiana permission to send text messages to the enrolled cell phone number through your wireless phone carrier, unless and until you end permission per these Terms and Conditions.

By giving this permission to Healthy Louisiana, you are asking to get text messages that tell you there is a new letter in your secure online Healthy Louisiana account. Text messages will not be used to sell you products. You do not have to agree to get text messages in order to buy any product or service from Healthy Louisiana. You will not get marketing messages.  While you are opted into text messages, you will not get paper letters by US Mail.

Healthy Louisiana Short Codes are: 62691

Healthy Louisiana will send a text message when you have a letter in your secure online account. To view letters, click the link in the text message. Then log into your account. In the top right corner of the webpage, click “View Letters.”

To Stop Getting Text messages: You can stop getting text messages at any time by:

  • Changing preferences on the Household Contact Preferences page in your secure online account, by unchecking the opt-in box next to the cell phone entry field

       or

  • Calling 1-855-229-6848 to tell a Healthy Louisiana Representative you want to opt out

       or

  • Replying STOP from your cell phone to the Healthy Louisiana short code

If you opt out by texting STOP to a text message, text only the word STOP without any other words, spaces or characters before or after the word STOP. This will opt you out of that text message type.

Healthy Louisiana will try to opt you out if you send a text stating your clear and unmistakable intent to opt out. But your messages do not go to a human. They go to a short, automated code number. It has very limited ability to understand your messages. So it might not opt you out unless you reply only with the word STOP.

When you text STOP or change your account preferences, you will get one last confirmation text message from Healthy Louisiana. It will say that you will stop getting text messages. If you change your preferences, it may take up to 48 hours for it to take effect. During this 48-hour period, you might get text messages from Healthy Louisiana. You agree that your consent to get text messages continues unless and until you cancel your consent.

Get Help or Support: For help or answers to questions, call 1-855-229-6848. You can also reply HELP to a text message. You will get a text with contact information.

Message and Data rates may apply.

Message Frequency: The number of messages you get will vary. Healthy Louisiana will send a text message when there is a new letter to view in your online account. When you opt into text messages from Healthy Louisiana, you agree to get messages when there is a letter.
